What are Covered Warrants

The Covered Warrant is a financial instrument listed on the Stock Exchange consisting of a forward contract that entitles to subscribe for the purchase (call covered warrants) or sell (Put covered warrant) an underlying financial asset at a certain price on a deadline and have spread since 1998 in international markets and also in Italy have had a huge success.
The market for covered warrants is referred to under the acronym of MCW and is one of the richest Italian stock exchanges, quoted on the Milan Stock Exchange.
The type is a covered warrant, option in the sense that you are the owner of the title have the right (option) to buy or sell the security, but you're not obligated to enter into any type of operation.
Covered warrants can therefore be defined as an option, as I said before, or right to buy or sell at the end of the financial transactions.
From this point out that in Italy the right to purchase is valid only at maturity, while in the U.S. this option you can register at any time.
Let's see if I'll explain: the Covered Warrants has the option to purchase the property ranging from financial stocks,, bonds, commodities and the currency market, the stock market.
