What are futures?

The futures are futures contracts, ie those types of contracts used to be sold and / or purchased at a certain date at a predetermined value already.

If the contracts are for goods are called "commodity futures" and if they are related to a financial instrument is called "financial futures".

Basically, the future is a financial instrument as determined by a forward contract default, regarding a purchase or sale of a commodity or financial value at a future date at a predetermined price at the inception of the contract.
